Cultural Tour of South India - India Vacation Package

On arrival at Chennai railway station, get transferred to the hotel for getting some relax and rest. Tour manager may also greet you at the railway station and will tell you about further plan. In the evening, a visit for Kapaleshwar temple has been decided. After temple visit, you will also go to Fort St. George and the Government Museum.

This is the day when you have to move to Mahabalipuram via Kanchipuram. You will go to one or two attractive places in Kanchipuram and then move to Mahabalipuram. Go to Ekambareswara Temple which is dedicated to Shiva. One of famous hotel is booked for you and get check in to that hotel. Stay here for night.

After taking breakfast, proceed to Mahabalipuram by car. In the afternoon, check in to hotel. In the late night, go for sightseeing and visit the  shore temple, Pancha (five) Rahthas in Mamallapuram and stay here for night.

In the morning, go to Pondicherry by car which is 134 kms away from Mahabalipuram. Check into pre booked hotel in Pondicherry. After eating breakfast, go for sightseeing  and visit the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Auroville, The Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Bharthidasan memorial museum in Pondicherry by car. Come to hotel and stay overnight.

Take breakfast in Pondicherry and move to Tanjore with train. On arrival in Tanjore, go to hotel and take rest. Later, go for sightseeing visit of popular Brihadeshwara temple built in 10th century and the Saraswati mahal library which has many paper manuscripts and houses palm leaf by the car. In the night, come back to hotel and stay there.

In the early morning, take breakfast and leave for Trichy (Tiruchinapally) by car, the citadel of the Chola Dynasty. On the arrival at this destination, you will be moved to your hotel and now we have plan for going to view the Rock fort and the mystic Srirangam island. This is one  such place which is a best example of ancient temple town of the south. Now, move to hotel stay for long night.

This is one of the  oldest city in South India which has recorded history back to 6th century BC. This afternoon, you have to go to the Tirumala Nayak Palace and the  world famous Meenakshi temple in the cab. This meenakshi temple is best example of Dravidian architecture. On the same evening, you can also go & revisit the temple for Aarti ceremony and stay at hotel for night.

This is the most famous Tiger reserve location of south India which is located at an altitude of 3300 feet above the sea level. In the mid way, also go for spice garden visit and elephant ride. After check in to hotel, visit the famous wildlife sanctuary which is spread in 777 sq. km and covers half of evergreen forest & Savannah grasslands.  If boating is allowed in Periyar, enjoy it on your own cost.

This is technically based island on Lake Vembanad. This lake is ideal place for relaxation with best surroundings. At this place, you may also enjoy a ride on the houseboat at  your own cost. As boat moves in the water, you can also have view of the daily life which is shown in the back water villages. The natural view of the lake during the dawn and the dusk makes you feel charming.

Take breakfast in the hotel on time and check out for Alleppey in car. Check in to the houseboat Alleppey which is also called as Alappuzha and founded by Raja Keshawadasan in 1762. This place is famous for boat race and you can also take part in the boat race.  Overnight stay is allowed here.

After breakfast you will be moved to Cochin / cherai in the car. Visit the Marine drive and take boating at your own cost. After lunch, go for sightseeing of fort Cochin Chinese fishing met, Jewish synagogue, the Dutch palace. Later get back to the hotel. Overnight in Cochin.

Travel towards Ooty – Queen of Hill station. Ooty is one of best hill station in the south. Enroute to Ooty, You may also visit Bandipur national park and Mudumalai wildlife sanctuary. In the evening, you will also  visit the Ooty Lake and rose garden.

On the second day in Ooty, visit many famous places which are Botanical Gardens and Doddabetta peak. After enjoying these places, come to hotel.

For long awaited vacation, you come to the trip by car and go for Nagarahole nestled national park. This place is a perfect getaway for natural lovers where you can enjoy your day easily. Also enjoy the backwater of the river Kabini in this vacation trip.

In the early morning, be ready for bird watching and also for elephant ride and go to these places by cab. At this place, also go for walk at the backwater area and also enjoy picture views of Nagarahole.

Embark on a city tour of Mysore.. Here, you will visit Maharaja Palace and will also have natural view of Art gallery in the Jaganmohan palace. In afternoon, come to the hotel for rest and again proceed for a  visit to the Brindavan gardens in the evening. In this garden, visitors will see view after sun set and colored lights and musical fountains changes this place into fairy land.

On this day, you are free for your activities in Mysore. Overnight in Mysore.

Travel to Hassan in the morning and visit the Shravanabelagola temple in this city. This is one of oldest temple which is Jain pilgrimage centers in India. In the evening, you can go to local market of Hassan and can shopping. Come to hotel and take your dinner in hotel.

In  Bangalore, go to sightseeing for all local and famous places where you can collect huge memories. You will have to visit Vidhan Soudha, Cubbon Park, Lal Bagh, Tipu’s fort and Palace. For shopping, go to M. G. Road.

On the last day of tour, travel to airport or railway station in Bangalore city and move to your home town with sweet memories.
