On arrival at Cairo International airport, you will be met and transferred to the hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight in Cairo.

Tour the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx before boarding an overnight train to Aswan. Head straight to visit the pyramids and soak in the history of this fantastic site. In the evening, board an overnight train to Aswan  


Explore Aswan before visiting a Nubian village and enjoying a home-cooked dinner with a local family. Enjoy some free time in the morning to browse the souk or walk along the Nile. Later, board a felucca (boat) to reach Elephantine Island and visit a Nubian village. Walk around the small community then enjoy a delicious traditional dinner in a local home.


Spend the day exploring Aswan. Opt to visit the magnificent temples of Abu Simbel.One of the most fascinating sights in the area is the Temple of Abu Simbel. There are two options for visiting- overland or flight. Later, opt for a half-day tour to visit the Unfinished Obelisk, High Dam, and Philae Temple. Visit the modern Nubian Museum to learn more about the local people and culture.


Sail the Nile on a felucca (traditional boat) with a support boat. Sleep onboard under the stars. Board the felucca (traditional boat) and spend the rest of the day out on the river and a night under the stars.


Enjoy a guided visit Kom Ombo Temple before driving to Luxor. En route, visit the temple of Edfu.


Travel by donkey and visit the Colossi of Memnon, Valley of the Kings, and the Temple of Hatshepsut. Opt to visit the Temple of Karnak and Luxor Museum. After, visit the G dventures-supported library and community education centre - feel free to bring along books in English or Arabic to donate. Enjoy lunch with a local family on the West Bank of the Nile. Overnight train to Cairo. Cross to the West Bank and travel by donkey. Visit the massive 18m (59ft)-high Colossi of Memnon, which is all that remains of an ancient temple. Descend down the narrow corridors and check out the tombs of the pharaohs at the Valley of the Kings. The Funerary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut literally seems to rise out of the surrounding limestone outcrops. Enjoy free time to explore Luxor; Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple are both well worth a visit. Learn about the ancient art of embalming at world's only Mummification Museum and the small, but beautifully presented, Luxor Museum.Enjoy an included visit to a G Adventures-supported library and community education centre. This project provides early childhood education at a very low cost for locals, as well as adult literacy classes. If you would like to bring a donation, this project always accepts books in both English and Arabic to expand their library.


Enjoy a guided tour of Cairo, then visit Khan el-Khalili Bazaar and the Egyptian Museum. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight in Cairo.


Travel to Nuweiba. Opt to snorkel in the Red Sea or relax on the beach.


Enjoy a free day to explore Nuweiba or take an excursion to Mt Sinai.  

Nuweiba Morning Spend a few more hours at the beach.Hop on a ferry from Nuweiba to Aqaba, Jordan. Spend the morning at the beach before boarding the ferry to Jordan.


Aqaba Morning Hit the beach for a few more hours.Head out for a 4x4 excursion during the day before a traditional dinner and overnight stay at a Bedouin desert camp in Wadi Rum.Spend the morning in Aqaba before setting off for Wadi Rum, a vast, silent landscape of ancient riverbeds and the largest and most magnificent of Jordan's desert landscapes. Head deep into the desert by 4x4, stopping at famous landmarks along the way.Arrive at the tented camp in time for a traditional meal. Learn more about this ancient culture.A local guide will take us for a 2 hr night hike in the desert to see the stars and look for desert wildlife. Spend the evening sitting around the fire under the stars, listening to stories from our Bedouin hosts.


Visit Siq al-Barid (Little Petra) en route to Wadi Musa.Pack up from the Bedouin camp and head for Wadi Musa, home to the famous city of Petra. En route, visit Siq al-Barid, known as Little Petra. Upon arrival, spend time walking in the small city or seeking out one of the many cafes playing Indiana Jones on loop.


Start out early for a guided visit to Petra. It's easy to spend hours wandering through this massive 'Rose City'. Walk through the narrow canyon that forms the dramatic entrance to the city (the Siq), around the final corner, and lay eyes on the dramatic facade of the Treasury building. Learn a brief history of the city and walk approximately 25km (15.5 mi) to cover the entire site. Return to Wadi Musa in the late afternoon, or continue exploring on your own.


Visit Shobak and Karak castles, Mt Nebo, and take a guided tour of the Madaba mosaics.Depart early for the first stop, Shobak Castle. Continue on to explore Karak Castle, built during the Crusades.Later, visit Mt Nebo. Learn the ancient history of this spot and check out the incredible views.Continue on to Madaba to see the famous Byzantine mosaics, dating back to the 6th century.


Head out to the Dead Sea, a lake so salty nothing can live in its waters. Spend some time at one of the resorts with time for bobbing like a cork in the buoyant water, covering yourself in healing mud, or just lounging on the beach. After lunch, travel to Amman with free time to explore.


Today you will be met and transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
