On arrival in the small town of Waitomo, enjoy a guided tour through the world famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves with their amazing stalactites, stalagmites and other limestone formations. We finish the tour with a silent boat ride through the Glowworm Grotto - a subterranean cavern lit up by the lights of thousands of tiny glowworms. We then continue our journey this afternoon by driving to Rotorua. Travel via Lake Wanaka, through the historic Haast Pass, to the World Heritage Westland National Park. Continue up to the west coast past spectacular mountain ranges, native forests and lakes to the glacier region of Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers. On arrival in Glacier Region, proceed and check in to the hotel.

Transfer from hotel in Glacier Region to train station in Greymouth for your train to Christchurch. Travel from  Greymouth to Christchurch by world famous Tranz Alpine Train. On arrival proceed to hotel. Overnight in Christchurch.
